
Penne with
Spicy Arrabbiata Sauce
Makes 4-6 ServingsIngredients
* | 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
* | 2 cloves garlic, chopped |
* | 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
* | 28-ounce can San Marzano whole tomatoes |
* | Salt to taste |
* | 16-ounce package Barilla Penne |
* | 1/4 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, grated |
* | 2 tablespoons parsley, roughly chopped |
Instructions
1 | Bring a large pot of water to a boil. |
2 | Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add chopped garlic and red pepper flakes; saute until garlic turns light yellow. |
3 | Add tomatoes and season with salt. Simmer for 4-5 minutes. |
4 | Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. |
5 | Add cooked pasta to skillet and toss. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Serve immediately. |
