
Two-Cheese Sargento Burgers
with Fruit Salsa
Makes 4 ServingsIngredients
* | 1 pound lean ground beef |
* | 6-ounce package Sargento Duo Pack Sliced Medium Cheddar & Colby-Jack Cheese |
* | 2 tablespoon chopped pineapple |
* | 2 tablespoons chopped mango |
* | 2 tablespoons chopped green or red bell pepper |
* | 2 teaspoons minced fresh cilantro |
* | 1 fresh lime, cut in half |
* | 4 jalapeno bagels, split |
* | 4 leaf lettuce leaves |
* | 1 avocado, peeled and sliced |
Instructions
1 | Shape ground beef into 4 patties, 4 inches in diameter and 1/2-inch thick. Preheat grill or broiler. |
2 | Grill patties 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness, adding one slice Cheddar and one slice Colby-Jack cheese during last minute of cooking. |
3 | While burgers are cooking, prepare fruit salsa by combining pineapple, mango, bell pepper and cilantro in a small bowl. Squeeze lime juice over mixture and stir gently. |
4 | Grill or lightly toast bagels. Place burgers on bagels. Serve with fruit salsa, lettuce and avocado. |
