Apple Turkey Burgers
Makes 4 Servings
*1 package Shady Brook Farms or Honeysuckle White 99% Fat-Free Ground Turkey
*1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and grated
*1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
*8-ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
*1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
*1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
*1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
*4 hamburger buns
1Preheat charcoal grill for direct-heat cooking.
2In a medium-size bowl, combine turkey, apple, coriander, salt and pepper. Evenly divide turkey mixture into 4 burgers, approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
3Grill turkey burgers 5 to 6 minutes per side until meat thermometer reaches 160F to 165F degrees and meat is no longer pink.
4In a small bowl, combine cranberry sauce, mustard, cinnamon and nutmeg.
5Spread sauce on burger and serve on buns.
