Grilled Whiskey & Cola
Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Makes 4 ServingsIngredients
* | 1 tablespoon kosher salt |
* | 1 teaspoon Chinese 5-spice powder |
* | 4 tablespoons light brown sugar |
* | 1/2 cup Kentucky bourbon whiskey |
* | 1/2 cup diet cola |
* | 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard |
* | 1 1/2 to 2 pounds pork tenderloin(s) |
* | Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste |
* | Olive oil, for brushing |
Instructions
1 | Whisk together the salt, spice powder, brown sugar, whiskey, cola and Dijon mustard until they are completely dissolved. |
2 | Pour into a glass baking dish or large plastic zip-locking marinade bag. Add pork tenderloin and marinate in the refrigerator 4-8 hours, turning often. |
3 | Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan. |
4 | When ready to cook, remove pork tenderloin from marinade and discard marinade. |
5 | Season tenderloin with salt and pepper. Brush with olive oil to prevent sticking on the grill. |
6 | Grill about 15-20 minutes or to desired doneness. Slice and serve. |
