
Oriental Lettuce Wraps
Makes 6 ServingsIngredients
* | 1 pound Shady Brook Farms or Honeysuckle White Lean Ground Turkey, cooked until no longer pink |
* | 3 tablespoons soy sauce (plus additional for dipping) |
* | 1/4 cup hoisin sauce |
* | 2 tablespoons chili paste with garlic |
* | 2 tablespoons sugar |
* | 1 bunch green onions, chopped |
* | 1 cup water |
* | 1 tablespoon cornstarch |
* | 8 to 10 large lettuce leaves (bibb, butter or iceberg) |
Instructions
1 | Combine turkey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili paste, sugar, green onions, water and cornstarch together in a skillet and simmer for 15 minutes. Transfer mixture to a bowl. |
2 | Place lettuce leaves on a platter. Scoop a portion of the turkey mixture onto a lettuce leaf. Complete the wrap by folding in the sides of the leaf over the filling and rolling up. |
3 | Makes 8 to 10 large wraps. |
4 | Pass additional soy sauce around for dipping. |
Notes
Hoisin sauce and chili paste with garlic are available in the Asian food section of most grocery stores.
