
Gemelli with Pecorino Dolce
and Aromatic Herbs
Makes 4 ServingsIngredients
* | 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
* | 3 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs, such as rosemary, sage, parsley, mint, thyme or marjoram |
* | 1 garlic clove, minced |
* | 16-ounce package Barilla Gemelli |
* | 5 tablespoons grated pecorino romano cheese |
* | 1 tablespoon unsalted butter |
* | 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Instructions
1 | Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add herbs and garlic; saute for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. |
2 | Cook gemelli according to package directions, except reduce cook time to 10 minutes. Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup cooking water. Return pasta to pot. |
3 | Add hot pasta and reserved cooking water to the herb mixture; toss. Cook until water evaporates slightly, stirring occasionally. Add cheese, butter and pepper; mix well. |
4 | Transfer to serving platter; serve immediately. |
