Turkey Manicotti
Makes 6 Servings
*2 tablespoons vegetable oil
*1 onion, chopped
*1 teaspoon garlic powder
*1 pound Shady Brook Farms or Honeysuckle White Lean Ground White Turkey
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*1/4 teaspoon pepper
*1 pound manicotti shells, cooked and drained
*1 jar marinara sauce
*1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
2Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet and saute onion and garlic powder over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add ground turkey, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink. Stuff the turkey mixture into the shells.
3Pour a little marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9" x 13" baking dish. Place the stuffed manicotti in the baking dish and top with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes. Slice and serve.
