No Fumble Cheese Balls
Makes about 24 balls.
*5 tbls. butter
*1 cup milk
*1/4 tsp. salt
*1/4 tsp. dry mustard
*1 cup flour
*4 eggs
*1 cup freshly shredded Gruyere cheese
*1/4 cup chopped chives
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2In medium saucepan, combine butter, milk, salt and mustard. Bring to boil.
3Add flour all at once and mix with a wooden spoon, stirring constantly, until the dough leaves the sides of the pan and forms a ball.
4Remove from heat and fold in the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
5Mix in cheese and chives.
6Drop tablespoons of the mixture 2 inches apart on to a buttered baking sheet, forming balls. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
