Newport Clam Chowder
Makes 6 Servings
*2 15-ounce cans Snow's condensed clam chowder
*6 1/2-ounce can chopped clams, drained and rinsed
*2 cups half & half
*1 cup milk
*Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
*4 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
*4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1Combine the 2 cans of condensed clam chowder, chopped clams, half & half and milk in a large saucepan. Stir to combine.
2Season with salt and black pepper. Add dill and butter.
3Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, for 1 hour.
