Tasty Turkey Tacos
Makes 6 Servings
*1 - 1 1/2 pounds lean ground turkey, such as Shady Brook Farms or Honeysuckle White
*Salt and pepper
*1.25-ounce packet mild taco seasoning mix
*3/4 cup water
*1 package (12-count) taco shells
*1 small head iceberg lettuce, rinsed and shredded
*4 plum tomatoes, cored, seeded and diced
*2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1Place ground turkey in a large non-stick skillet and season with salt and pepper. Brown turkey until cooked through, breaking meat into pieces as it cooks. Drain well.
2Add taco seasoning mix and water and stir to combine. Cook over medium heat 3-5 minutes until heated through and water is absorbed.
3Heat taco shells in 375F degree oven according to package directions.
4Spoon seasoned turkey filling into taco shells. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese to taste.
