
Meatloaf with Bacon Crust
Makes 6 servingsIngredients
* | 2 lbs. ground beef or ground turkey |
* | 2 eggs |
* | 1 small onion, minced |
* | 3/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs |
* | 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning |
* | 1/4 cup ketchup |
* | 1 1/2 tbls. Worcestershire sauce |
* | Salt and pepper, to taste |
* | 5 - 6 slices of bacon |
Instructions
1 | Preheat oven to 400 degrees. |
2 | In large bowl, combine ground beef or ground turkey, eggs, onion, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. |
3 | Mix together (by hand is best) until ingredients are fully mixed. |
4 | Press mixture into non-stick loaf pan. |
5 | Cover with bacon slices. |
6 | Cook 1 hour, remove from loaf pan and let stand before serving. |
