
Chocolate-Dipped Banana Pops
Makes 6 ServingsIngredients
* | 3 ripe bananas |
* | 1 cup milk chocolate morsels |
* | 1 tbls. vegetable shortening |
* | 5 oz. cashew nuts, chopped |
Instructions
1 | Peel bananas and slice in half across the center (not down the length). Insert a popsicle stick into the flat end of each banana half. Place bananas in the freezer for 30 minutes. |
2 | Melt chocolate and shortening in a microwave or over a water bath. Stir to mix. |
3 | Place chopped nuts on a plate. |
4 | Dip bananas in chocolate to coat. Dip immediately into nuts and roll to cover. Place into freezer until chocolate has hardened. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving. |
