Old Fashioned Hot Cocoa
Makes 4 Servings
Ingredients
*4 cups well-chilled milk
*4 oz. high-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened) such as Lindt, chopped
*1/2 cup sugar
*Pinch of salt
*Mini-marshmallows
*Ground cinnamon for dusting
*Candy canes for garnish
Instructions
1Bring milk to a simmer in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Reduce heat to low. Add chocolate, sugar and salt and whisk until smooth.
2Pour cocoa into mugs. Top with marshmallows and dust with cinnamon. Garnish each mug with a candy cane.
 
 
Makes A Great Gift:
 Place chopped chocolate in plastic wrap and tuck inside festive holiday mugs. Arrange mugs, a bag of mini-marshmallows and candy canes in a basket or gift bag. Be sure to provide a recipe card with hot cocoa directions!
