Roasted TomatoesMakes 12 Tomatoes
|*||12 plum tomatoes|
|*||1 tbls. olive oil|
|*||1 tsp. kosher salt|
|*||1/2 tsp. black pepper|
|1||Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.|
|2||Place the tomatoes on a baking sheet and rub with the oil. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper.|
|3||Bake until the tomatoes are shriveled and slightly darkened, about 3 hours.|
- This is a great way to concentrate the flavors of the tomato, and if you want to blister the skin, broil for 3 minutes at the end.
