Baked Ham with Maple-Mustard Glaze
Makes 12 Servings
*6 to 8 lb. fully-cooked boneless ham
*Whole cloves
*1 cup brown sugar
*1/2 cup maple syrup
*2 tbls. Dijon mustard
*1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2Score the top of the ham with shallow crisscross cuts to make a diamond-shape pattern. Push a whole clove into each diamond shape.
3Place ham in a roasting pan on a rack and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until cooked through. Remove from oven.
4Mix together brown sugar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard and balsamic vinegar and spread mixture over top and sides of ham. Return to oven and continue baking until mustard coating is golden brown, about 30 minutes. Transfer ham to platter and let rest 15 minutes before carving and serving.
