* | 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed |
* | Flour for dusting |
* | 1/3 cup pesto |
* | 1/2 cup Asiago cheese, freshly grated |
* | 1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp. water |
1 | Preheat oven to 400 degrees. |
2 | Roll out pastry sheet on a floured surface to make a 14" x 11" rectangle. Spread pesto evenly over entire surface and sprinkle evenly with cheese. |
3 | Roll up the pastry from the long side. Cut the roll into ½ inch slices and lay flat on a greased cookie sheet. Brush tops of the rolls with the egg wash and bake 8-10 minutes until golden brown. |
