* | 2 lbs. ground beef |
* | 1 large onion, chopped |
* | 1 green pepper, seeded and chopped |
* | 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes |
* | 2 tbls. chili powder |
* | 1 19 oz. can red kidney beans, undrained |
1 | In large skillet, combine ground beef, onion and pepper and brown, breaking up ground beef. Drain. Transfer to dutch oven. |
2 | Add tomatoes and chili powder. Cover and simmer over low-medium heat about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. |
3 | Add kidney beans (undrained) and continue to simmer another 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
4 | NOTE: Add additional chili powder to taste. |
