Makes 4 servings
*3 cups peanut oil (for frying)
*4 cups water
*1 lb. powdered sugar
*1 cup whole walnuts
1In a large saucepan, heat peanut oil to 350 degrees.
2In another large saucepan, combine water and powdered sugar and cook until it becomes syrup. Add walnuts and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Strain walnuts and add to pan with peanut oil to fry. Fry for 3-4 minutes. Remove from oil and spread onto a sheet pan to cool. Once cool, break apart walnuts.
