* | 2 1/2 lbs. baking potatoes, peeled and quartered |
* | 1/2 tsp. garlic salt |
* | 1/2 cup warmed milk |
* | 5 tbls. butter, cut into pieces |
* | Salt and freshly ground black pepper |
1 | Place potatoes in a large saucepan and add water to cover by 1 inch. Add garlic salt to water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook 15-20 minutes or until tender. Drain and return hot potatoes to the pan. Mash until smooth or use a ricer. Gradually add milk and butter, combining until potatoes are fluffy. Season with salt and pepper. |
