* | 1 beefsteak tomato |
* | Salt and freshly-ground pepper to taste |
* | 1 fresh buffalo mozzarella ball |
* | 4-5 fresh basil leaves |
* | Extra virgin olive oil |
1 | Slice a small piece off the bottom of the tomato so that it will lay flat on the plate. |
2 | Slice beefsteak tomato in thick slices. Season with salt and pepper to taste. |
3 | Slice mozzarella into thick rounds. |
4 | Rebuild tomato by layering tomato, mozzarella and basil. Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil. |
