Bacon & Water Chestnut Bites
Makes 6+ Servings
*8-ounce can sliced water chestnuts, drained, rinsed and patted dry
*3/4 cup light brown sugar
*1 pound bacon, slices cut in half
*Reduced-sodium soy sauce
1Preheat oven to 425F degrees.
2Place brown sugar in a shallow pie plate. Roll each water chestnut in brown sugar, coating well. Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around from top to bottom, sealing it. Place in a shallow glass baking dish. Sprinkle tops with soy sauce.
3Bake in oven 20 - 30 minutes until bacon is crispy. Serve immediately, providing toothpicks for guests.
